Hi Raylanders,

I am pleased to serve as your Principal for the 8th full year. As many of you know, I also served as Assistant Principal at Cox Elementary giving me another 5 years to serve our community.  So, currently, I have served 13 years in this community. I am committed to work for you, your child(ren) and your family to consistently improve and provide the very best school experience.

We will focus on instruction and, more specifically, working to provide challenge for all. This includes both intervention AND challenge for all children. We will critically look at our student data, assessment processes, and instructional methods to inform student ownership and acquisition of learning through our weekly Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings.

We are continuing the commitment to our mission this year through refining our current PLC systems and processes. In addition, we are proud to provide additional enrichment/challenge opportunities during our shared intervention times to give all kids the opportunity to experience things like a garden club, video editing club, and Spanish language introduction during the school day in grades 3-5…just to name a few.

Also, look forward to the numerous community engagement opportunities through many of our school and PTA events such as New Family Orientation, Open House, Back to School Night, Science Night, Art Night, Thanksgiving Lunch, International Fair, Carnival and the list goes on. Of course, we will send out emails with upcoming events and don’t forget that you can check the website.

Did I mention some of the other enrichment opportunities like Spelling Bee or Math Pentathlon? I could continue on and on…like, for example, did you know that this community supports education and Reagan that rivals any community anywhere? Well, you do, we do, and it shows in the faces of your children and we love to serve all our families!

We are so proud to work alongside you with such a highly skilled staff to serve the whole child through our culture of kindness, inclusion, and challenge for all as they enter, move, and exit Reagan Elementary in preparation for college and career readiness.

Box Top Contest Going On Now
The BOX TOPS CONTEST deadline is coming October 24th, 2018. Keep on clipping! There will be a prize for the student who brings in the most box tops. Also, for those students who bring in 25 box tops or more, you will receive an ice cream treat on a special designated lunch day.

Student Voice: Share your stories, perspectives and input with the Superintendent
Superintendent launches "Student Voice" outreach
It’s a new school year, but our focus remains on students. This year, Superintendent Dan Troxell, Ph.D. will provide a new way for students to voice their thoughts in a writing prompt he will read and share through local newspapers, the Leander ISD website and social media.
